There are seven types of Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) Scholarships available for international students: those for “Research Students”, “Teacher Training Students”, “Japanese Studies Students”, “Undergraduate Students”, “College of Technology Students”, “Special Training Students” and “Young Leaders Program students”. These students are selected in one of the following two ways: “Embassy Recommendation” and “University Recommendation”.
Yokohama National University accepts “Research Students”, “Teacher Training Students”, “Undergraduate Students” and “Japanese Studies Students” as below:
