African Business Education Initiative for Youth (ABE Initiative)

African Business Education Initiative for Youth offers opportunities for young and eligible African leaders to study at master’s courses in Japanese top universities and to experience internships at Japanese enterprises to develop effective skills and knowledge in various fields for contributing the development of industries in Africa. Innovative Asia

Innovative Asia aims to enhance the circulation of competent human resources between Japan and Asian countries and to promote innovation in the whole Asia. Competent students from one of the 60 partner schools of the target 12 countries in Asia can study in master’s or doctoral courses at top Japanese universities and experience internships at Japanese companies, research institutes. SDGs Global Leadership Program

SDGs Global Leadership Program is newly established in FY2019 to promote cooperation for sustainable development in the world, under the framework of JICA Development Studies Program (JICA-DSP). This program gives opportunities for young government officials and prospective academics to study in master’s or doctoral courses in top Japanese universities. <Doctoral Programs>

Local Governance with Community Participation

Established in 2020, Local Governance with Community Participation is designed for regional/local and central government officers in developing countries to improve their comprehension with reference to the local development and community rebuilding to enhance their policy/plan formulation and implementation capacity.
Students enrolled in this program are initially accepted as research students at the Graduate School of International Social Sciences, usually for six months. As research students, they will prepare for the entrance examination of the master’s program.
