Scholarships for privately financed international students

There are two types of scholarships for privately financed international students. One is ‘University-recommended Scholarships’, and another is ‘Scholarships which you apply directly’.
It is possible to apply for both of these two types at the same time. You may also apply for more than one university-recommended scholarship at the same time, as long as you meet the eligibility requirements.
However, if you are recommended by the university once, you cannot apply for another scholarship that needs the university recommendation, until you get the result of the current application.

University-recommended Scholarships

To qualify for ‘University-recommended Scholarships,’ make sure to complete your basic data registration first. You need to apply for the basic data registration for every academic year.
When submitting your registration application in the spring semester, you can register your data for both the spring and fall semesters at the same time. Applicants must read the application guidelines carefully and apply within the application period.
If you applied for both semesters (spring and fall) in the spring semester, you do not need to apply in the fall again.
However, note that you need to apply in the fall semester if your student ID number will be changed from October due to proceeding to a higher level of education, etc.
After an internal screening, only successful candidates will be notified of the result by email with the direction to complete your application.
